News: Time for a Cuppa?

Posted: Tue 26/01/2010

Why?

The mission of "for dementia" is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by dementia.

I know from personal experience the trials and tribulations of living with someone with dementia and to be able to contact someone on the phone who can give me a reassuring friendly word is of the utmost importance to me, and this is what Admiral Nurses do.

On 1st February 2010 I will be hosting "Time for a Cuppa?" at the New Fellowship Hall, Whitwell from 10:30hrs - 12:30hrs and everyone has an invite to make this a FUN fundraising opportunity.

There will be lots going on, cakes will be on sale, courtesy of the WI, a "Times" crossword for those who like puzzles based around tea and a raffle where we have a bottle of champagne from the House of Commons and Ken Follett's latest book signed by Ken plus many other prizes.

Every £15 raised will pay for our helpline to provide dedicated support to a carer.

Please come along and support this event. If you can't attend but would like to make a donation, please contact me, Jan Burt, on 07901 942494.
